How do Lab Perks member codes work?

One supplier, one code

There is no single Lab Perkscode that works everywhere. Each supplier in the directory gives us one discount code for members, and that code only works at that supplier's store. If ten suppliers are listed, a member has ten codes, one per store.

Every code comes with an offer that the supplier sets, such as a percentage or a fixed amount off. The offer is printed on the supplier's public listing in the directory, so you can see what each store gives members before you join. The code itself stays in the member area.

Where the codes appear

Codes live on one page: the member area at /members. You need to be signed in with the account that bought the membership. What the page shows depends on where your membership stands.

While your payment is on its way

If you have placed a membership order but it isn't paid yet, the member area says so, gives the order number and links to the payment details. Codes unlock as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Once you are an active member

The page shows the date your membership runs until, the order it came from, and the names of the suppliers whose codes are ready. The codes stay hidden until you choose Show my member codes. Each supplier then gets a row with its offer, a link to its website, its code and a Copy button. If your browser blocks copying, the button highlights the code so you can copy it yourself.

While the directory is still filling up

When no supplier is listed yet, the member area says that codes will appear there. A supplier's code is added to every active member's list on the day its listing goes live, and suppliers who join while you are a member show up without you doing anything. The membership page tells you how many suppliers are listed today.

Using a code at a supplier's checkout

1. Open the supplier's website from its listing or from its row in the member area.
2. Build your order there as usual. Lab Perks never sees or handles it.
3. Paste the code into the discount or promo field of that supplier's checkout.
4. Check that the supplier's order total reflects its offer before you pay.

The supplier decides how its offer applies, and it can change or end the offer. For that reason Lab Perks can't promise that every code will be accepted on every order. If a code is refused, compare the order with the offer printed on the listing, then ask the supplier. If the listing itself looks out of date, tell us at support@labperks.com so it can be corrected.

Everything after the code is between you and the supplier: products, prices, delivery, returns and support, all under the supplier's own terms. Lab Perksdoesn't pass your details to suppliers; when you buy from one, you give it your details yourself and its own privacy policy applies. Every listed supplier sells for laboratory research use only, and at checkout on this site you confirmed that you buy research materials for laboratory research only.

Revealing codes and the refund rule

Codes are hidden behind a button for a reason. The refund rule reads: If you have not viewed any member code, you can request a refund within 7 days of payment. Showing the codes in the member area counts as viewing them, and the member area reminds you of this right above the button.

So if you are not yet sure the membership is for you, look at the public listings first. Everything except the codes is visible without joining. The billing page covers how to ask for a refund.

Keeping codes to yourself

Codes are for your own purchasing and are part of what the membership pays for. Please don't post them publicly or pass them around. Under the membership terms, a membership whose codes are published may be closed.

When the membership ends

A membership lasts 12 months and does not renew. When it ends, the member area stops showing codes and offers a new membership instead. Nothing is charged automatically, and the public directory stays open to you as before. If you rejoin, the codes that suppliers have on file at that time appear again.
